Marylebone’s vibrant portfolio of restaurants is delighted to welcome newcomer, Noreen, to the neighbourhood in June.
Introducing a fresh yet authentic Middle Eastern culinary experience to St. Christopher’s Place, Noreen will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, and draws inspiration from across the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant, with a focus on the region and its culinary heritage, culture, diversity and natural beauty.
The menu is presented with simplicity, yet packed with flavour that has travelled, evolved and endured. Diners are invited to indulge in mezzes to share, flatbreads pulled from the Tannour oven, fire-kissed meats from the Minqala grill and slow-cooked dishes that are packed with authentic flavours, transporting you to the streets and souks of the East.
For something sweet, diners can expect to see dishes and ingredients synonymous with Middle Eastern confectionery, including pistachio, dates and kunafa.
On the bar menu, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails are created in collaboration with the renowned Mr Lyan Studio and offer a concise but deliberate selection that introduces signature Noreen flavours to classic cocktails, including the traditionally distilled Middle Eastern spirit – Arak. Other key ingredients influenced by the region are woven throughout the cocktail menu, including hibiscus, za’atar, black lime and tahini.

“We’ve always loved introducing guests to new flavours and doing so regardless of whether they are in an alcoholic or non-alcoholic form. After learning more about the rich histories and diverse cultures of the Middle East, and discovering the incredible ingredients found across the region, we were excited to introduce these to Londoners in some new forms through cocktails,” Ryan Chetiyawardana (aka Mr Lyan, founder of Mr Lyan Studio).
The wine list offers a modest selection of bottles with a focus on lesser-known regions from across Lebanon, Turkey and the Eastern Mediterranean.
Heading the kitchen, and with years of experience working in some of London’s most iconic venues, including Harrods and The Dorchester, Head Chef Mehdi Hani’s Syrian and Lebanese heritage inspires a wealth of culinary traditions that showcase original interpretations of dishes from the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula.
Translating to ‘two lights’ in Arabic, Noreen reflects a world shaped by movement, exchange and quiet tradition. A name that speaks to warmth and connection, it embodies the depth and diversity of a region where history, craft and hospitality are ever present. These themes are cleverly woven throughout the restaurant’s interiors with neutral, earthy tones.
Noreen’s arrival at St Christopher’s Place is going to make for a wonderful addition to Marylebone’s neighbourhood, and just in time for summer!
