Stanwell House launches The Garden, with Joseph Perrier: A new seasonal outdoor dining & Champagne garden

Stanwell House, one of the New Forest’s most elegant boutique hotels, is set to launch The Garden – a new seasonal outdoor drinking and dining space opening 21 May, created in collaboration with Joseph Perrier Champagne.

Tucked within a beautifully reimagined walled garden, The Garden brings together relaxed coastal elegance and refined hospitality. Designed as a sun-drenched escape in the heart of Lymington, the space features deck chairs, soft blankets, fire pits for cooler evenings, and flower-filled surroundings, offering guests an inviting setting to linger from long, lazy lunches through to golden-hour drinks.

At its heart is a seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired sharing menu, celebrating bold, theatrical dishes from the grill and the best of coastal produce. Highlights include Grilled sea bass fillet with Greek salad; Half lobster with lemon hollandaise, new potatoes and garden salad; a selection of flatbreads, such as ‘From the Garden’ featuring grilled courgette and peppers, feta, pesto, red onion, olives and rocket; alongside dressed crab, burrata, and other generous plates and sides designed for convivial dining.

In partnership with Joseph Perrier, The Garden will also serve a curated Champagne offering, perfectly suited to alfresco afternoons and summer evenings.

To complement the atmosphere, The Garden will host regular live entertainment, with Friday evenings promising relaxed acoustic summer sounds from Harry Yates. Sunday afternoons will see DJ Abi Lemon, among others, bring an upbeat, sociable energy to The Garden to end the weekend on a high.

The Garden will offer approximately 140 covers, with a mix of bookable tables and relaxed walk-in seating, making it equally suited to planned occasions and spontaneous summer visits.

Josie Clare, General Manager, comments: “The Garden has always been one of Stanwell House’s best‑kept secrets, tucked away and hidden from the bustle of the High Street. With this new Mediterranean‑inspired concept, we wanted to bring that space to life in a way that feels relaxed, sun‑soaked and a little unexpected. Partnering with Joseph Perrier adds a real sense of occasion, and our acoustic Fridays and Sunday DJ sessions give guests even more reason to linger. It’s a place to escape to, designed for long, easy afternoons and unhurried evenings.”

Effortlessly blending the charm of the New Forest with the laid-back spirit of the coast, The Garden is set to become one of Lymington’s most desirable destinations this summer – whether for a celebratory drink, a leisurely meal, or a spontaneous stop in the sun.
