Vintavia Launches in London with a New Approach to Personalised Travel Discovery

A new travel and discovery app has launched in London, promising to help residents and visitors explore the capital through personalised itineraries and real-time, location-based recommendations.

Vintavia uses a traveller’s location, interests, available time and budget to identify relevant places and build practical routes around them. Rather than presenting users with extensive lists of popular attractions, the app is designed to provide carefully selected recommendations based on what is realistically accessible at that moment.

London is Vintavia’s most comprehensively mapped city at launch, with the platform currently featuring more than 750 places across 32 cities in five Western European countries. Additional locations are being added weekly as the company expands its coverage.

The app operates across two core functions. Travellers planning a trip in advance can enter their destination, interests and spending preferences to receive a structured, day-by-day itinerary. Alternatively, users can access the platform while already in a destination to find places worth visiting nearby.

Its technology considers opening hours, travelling time and the approximate time required at each location. This allows Vintavia to determine not only which places may appeal to an individual user, but also the order in which they should be visited.

For London’s high-end hospitality sector, the launch reflects the growing demand for more personalised destination experiences. Today’s luxury traveller increasingly wants access to neighbourhood restaurants, cultural spaces, independent galleries and lesser-known attractions alongside a city’s established landmarks.

Hotels have responded to this shift by placing greater emphasis on local expertise, concierge-led recommendations and experiences that connect guests more meaningfully with their surroundings. Vintavia brings a digital dimension to that same demand, giving travellers the ability to explore according to their own schedules while identifying places they may not encounter through conventional guidebooks.

“Most apps and AI chatbots hand you a list built from what’s generically popular, or who’s paid to be at the top,” said Aditya Agashe, FRGS, founder of Vintavia.

“Vintavia starts from wherever you’re standing and works outwards, taking in your tastes, your budget and the time you actually have, and cross-referencing what’s possible against opening hours, travel time and visiting time.”

The platform has been built for both international visitors and local users. A hotel guest with several hours between appointments, for example, could use the app to create a walking route beginning from the property. Similarly, a London resident could use it to discover an independent restaurant, cultural venue or attraction within an area they thought they already knew.

Vintavia’s focus on lesser-known discoveries also offers an alternative to the overcrowding frequently created by conventional recommendation platforms. Instead of directing every user towards the same highly ranked attractions, its itineraries are shaped around individual preferences and practical circumstances.

Agashe conceived Vintavia and led the platform from its initial concept to public release, working alongside development partner Coditation. Its approach to real-time, location-based discovery is currently patent pending.

In 2026, Agashe was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society in recognition of the invention and endeavour behind the platform. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, as well as a professional member of BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT.

His background includes published work relating to art provenance and cultural heritage, an interest reflected in Vintavia’s emphasis on culturally immersive discovery rather than recommendations based purely on popularity.

As luxury hospitality continues to move towards greater personalisation, Vintavia enters the market with a proposition designed around how travellers now want to experience destinations: with greater flexibility, stronger local context and recommendations relevant to where they are.

Vintavia is available to download free of charge on iOS and Android.
